Okapis and giraffes are similar in many ways and have amazing features. The giraffe is the closest relative to the okapi. Both the giraffe and the okapi have very long tongues that they use to break off leaves from branches. Giraffes are the tallest land animal in the world. The okapi lives in the wild in only one part of the world, and can be found in many zoos.
Giraffe HabitatGiraffes live in different parts of Africa around trees, dense forests, and open plains. They get their food from tall trees, but mostly like to eat off of acacia trees.
